UEFA has announced a list of Euro 2012 referees

UEFA has announced a list of twelve referees who will lead 31 matches of the Euro 2012 played at stadiums in Poland and Ukraine.
Among referees there are Howard Webb who refereed in a controversial match of Polish and Austria at the Euro 2008. The reserve list includes the polish referee Marcin Borski.
European Championships will begin on June 8 with the match of Poland and Greece at the National Stadium in Warsaw. A final match is scheduled for July 1. A total number of 31 meetings will be held.
Among the twelve referees there is no one representative of the host cities, however the reserve list includes the Polish referee Marcin Borski and the Ukrainian referee Viktor Szwecow.

On 4 June 2012 the referees will be accommodated in Warsaw. For the time being, it is known that UEFA will choose them for particular matches.

Will Webb referee the matches with the Polish team?

Howard Webb, who dictated to Austria the controversial penalty kick during the match with Poland for the Euro 2008 is considered by UEFA as one of the best specialists in Europe.
In 2010, Webb refereed the World Cup final match, so he is one of the best candidates for refereeing the opening match of the Euro 2012, the match between Poland and Greece
